It was wonderful to see the enthusiastic performance of our band and chorus members yesterday. They put on a great show.

Students had a blast conducting their own experiments with a variety of substances. They worked with a partner to plan for their investigation.

We were so excited to meet with our 2nd-grade buddies from Ms. Oliveira’s class today. Students got to know each other through a fun pineapple project. The pineapple is a sign of hospitality and we were thrilled to welcome the younger students to our classroom.

Students looked at paintings showing important events in history during the Age of Exploration and re-enacted those scenes in groups. It was very entertaining as well as educational.

Students used their math skills in a quest to try to save the world from a turkey takeover.

Did you know that November is Diabetes Awareness Month? Madison and her mom, who is a nurse, taught us about Type I Diabetes. In Science, students observed chemical reactions. Ask your child to explain the signs that a chemical reaction has occurred. During reading time, we have been enjoying and discussing Bud, Not Buddy.

Students did an investigation to help them understand the difference between a chemical and physical change.

Students learned about the amazing resources available at the Hamilton-Wenham Library today. They worked in groups to complete a fun and informational scavenger hunt. It was a beautiful fall day, perfect for the walk there and back.

In Math today, students worked in groups to calculate the volume of our classroom. We’re looking forward to our walking field trip to the library on Thursday. Keep in mind that students need to bring a packed lunch and snack.
