Buddies!

We were so excited to meet with our 2nd-grade buddies from Ms. Oliveira’s class today. Students got to know each other through a fun pineapple project. The pineapple is a sign of hospitality and we were thrilled to welcome the younger students to our classroom.

Chemical Reactions and More!

Did you know that November is Diabetes Awareness Month? Madison and her mom, who is a nurse, taught us about Type I Diabetes. In Science, students observed chemical reactions. Ask your child to explain the signs that a chemical reaction has occurred. During reading time, we have been enjoying and discussing Bud, Not Buddy.

Library Field Trip

Students learned about the amazing resources available at the Hamilton-Wenham Library today. They worked in groups to complete a fun and informational scavenger hunt. It was a beautiful fall day, perfect for the walk there and back.

Busy, busy…

Here are some photos from the last few weeks. In Science, students have been doing hands-on investigations to learn about different properties of matter. In Math today, students worked in groups to calculate the volume of our classroom. We’re looking forward to our walking field trip to the library on Thursday. Keep in mind that students need to bring a packed lunch and snack.
